Year 11 Outdoor & Environmental Studies

Yr 11 Wilson’s Promontory Camp

Year 11 Outdoor and Environmental Studies have just returned from three days away at Wilson’s Promontory National Park, investigating the plans to turn this area into a Conservation Reserve. Their experiences included a Welcome to country acknowledging the Boonwurrung and Gunai Kurnai people, observing the sunset from Mt Oberon, participating in a Wilderness boat cruise, surfing and surf rafting, as well as visiting a range of sites in the National Park.
They will now use the research they undertook and their experiences to craft a “Habitat Recovery Plan” for the College.
