Scholarships

Emerald Secondary College is excited to announce that scholarships are available for 2025 Year 7 students in a variety of areas. These scholarships aim to recognise and nurture student talent, leadership, and academic excellence.

Scholarships will be offered in the following categories:

1. Leadership/Community Spirit
   This scholarship recognises students who demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and a strong sense of community spirit. Applicants should provide evidence of their involvement in school or community activities and their ability to inspire and lead others.
2. SEAL Program
   The SEAL (Select Entry Accelerated Learning) scholarship will be awarded automatically to the highest performers on the SEAL entry test. This program caters to high-achieving students looking to accelerate their learning in a supportive environment.
3. Visual Arts
   This scholarship is awarded to students with outstanding artistic passion and talent. Applicants should submit a portfolio of their work showcasing their creativity and technical skills in various mediums.
4. Music
   The music scholarship recognizes students with exceptional musical abilities. Whether in instrumental, vocal, or composition, applicants should submit a portfolio that showcases their musical talent.
5. Academic Excellence
   This scholarship is offered to students who have consistently excelled academically across a range of subjects. Applicants should provide evidence of high achievement, including school reports and any academic awards or recognitions.
6. Sport
   The sports scholarship is awarded to students who excel in one or more sporting areas. Applicants should provide a record of their sporting achievements, including team participation, awards, and references from coaches or sports teachers.

Application Details:

• Application Period: October 16th, 2024 – November 11th, 2024, by 3:30 PM
• Notification of Results: Within three weeks of the closing date
• Scholarship Award Presentation: To be held at the recipient’s Primary School awards assembly
