New Senior School Building Construction Underway
We are excited to announce that construction of our new Senior School Building at Emerald Secondary College is officially underway, with our new contractor, Jointly, now working onsite.
The project commenced with demolition works, as a large excavator efficiently cleared the existing concrete, asphalt, shed and fencing to prepare the site for construction. It was exciting to see the first stage of the project take shape and to witness the transformation of the site firsthand.
Construction is progressing well, with the building envelope nearing completion and preparations underway for the pouring of the footings and slab. As the project progresses, the builder is carefully coordinating the installation of essential services, including plumbing, electrical and ICT infrastructure.
The current construction program anticipates completion in approximately 12 months, with the new facilities expected to be ready in August 2027.
The new Senior School building will provide an exciting addition to our college facilities, creating contemporary learning spaces for our students and staff. We look forward to sharing further updates as construction progresses and watching this significant project come to life.
