Visiting Psychologist

Emerald Secondary College has partnered with Dr Robert Chatfield to provide Bulk Billed Psychological Services at the school. Robert is a Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Robert is a qualified secondary teacher and completed a Graduate Diploma in Child and Adolescent Psychology as well as a Masters and PhD in Cognitive Developmental Psychology at The University of Melbourne. Robert has over 20 years of experience in a range of settings including Primary & Secondary Schools, Youth Welfare Organisations, Universities as well as Local and Global Organisations. Robert employs a combination of Cognitive Behavioural and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy to support students who are experiencing a range of issues that impact on their general wellbeing and/or ability to reach their potential at school.

All sessions with a referral from a General Practitioner (GP) are Bulk Billed under the Medicare Mental Health Plan.
