Drama
At Emerald Secondary College, Drama provides students with opportunities to develop confidence, creativity, collaboration, and self-expression in an inclusive and supportive environment. Student voice, agency, and participation are central to all Drama experiences, ensuring every student feels valued and empowered to contribute both on and off the stage.
Students are encouraged to explore all aspects of theatre-making, including acting, direction, stagecraft, and design. Through collaborative learning and performance opportunities, students build communication skills, resilience, teamwork, and creative thinking while developing their understanding of the performing arts.
Emerald Secondary College proudly presents two major productions each year:
- A whole school production in Term 3
- A junior school production in Term 4
All students who audition are offered a role within productions, reinforcing our commitment to inclusivity and participation for all. Productions provide students with the opportunity to perform, create, and contribute to a vibrant and dynamic performing arts community.
