The Emerald Secondary College AFL Pathway Program is a unique program that offers a quality environment where young players can sequentially develop their skills through activities, games, match rules and conditions fitting their stage of learning and ability.
The pathway program aims to develop and educate youth on the essential requirements of been an AFL player as they progress through the stages of pathway development. The purpose is on individual player’s abilities as well as preparing teams to participate in SSV competitions, at club level and through talent pathways.
The College program has relationships with local and surrounding junior and senior clubs and prides itself on its player development, program opportunities and its involvement at SSV competitions.
Principles
The program is accessible to Year 7, 8, 9 and Year 10 students from Emerald Secondary College.
Aims
Weekly Program Includes
Skills practice, match play, decision making, nutrition, game preparation, recovery and excursion opportunities.
